The Zook era has come to an end at Florida, and the head honcho running the football pool is greatly saddened and concerned about the lack of comedy material he will have next season. Perhaps it's time to start a hireronzook.com campaign. The Zooker even tried donning a visor this week for the Cocktail Party Contest. No one was fooled, Ron. You're no SOS and are well on your way to another 5-loss season after the annual smackdown against the 'Noles. Speaking of Free Shoes U, they stunk it up against the Fighting Friedgens in College Park. Maybe a shopping spree at Dillard's would cure all that ails them. Then Miami completed the Florida suck-it-up trifecta, losing to a 3-4 North Carolina team. The last time all three major Florida teams lost the #1 song on the Billboard charts was "Summer Nights" by John Travolta & Olivia Newton John. Yikes.

Congrats to Northwestern (and alumni Steve & Jacob) for the 'Cats victory over the Boilermakers. Condolences to pool favorite Western Michigan, who lost to Central Michigan, thus finishing last in the Directional Michigan Cup standings. I don't even know what to say anymore about the Illini; only 2 games left on the Ron Turner Farewell Tour.

Finally, Beano recommends a stadium pal for Jarvis Herring. I know you're pissed, Jarvis, but that is just taking things a bit too literally.
